Wonderful 1850\'s Vichy valance with gorgeous gently faded pink and red tones! ~ This panel is lightly timeworn with a few pale marks and some little holes scattered about, and is unwashed, but can be hand washed to remove some of the marks! The marks may not fully wash. ~ Vichy is an area outside of Paris thatproduced this gorgeous fabric thatbecame known as Vichy check. Vichy check was the primary furnishing fabric of the late 1700\'s and early 1800\'s. The tones of this piece of Vichy check are beautiful aged white, red and pink tones. This valance has a wonderful fringe and is a nice long length! ~*~ STUNNING ~ This panel is in wonderful condition with the exception of some minor flaws and would be lovely hung as is or could be used for projects such as pillows, light upholstery , lampshades, wall hanging, table cover etc. ~*~ ~*~ ~ . ~*~ ( C44 ) MEASUREMENTS : This textile measures: 19 inch drop by 75 inches wide (including the fringe).
CONDITION : This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition ~ There are little rust marks where this was hung by nails at the top. There are the usual signs of time and use, some tiny holes (they are mostly tiny speckled holes), some pale marks, foxing, and one or two small darker stains. Lovely!
