This beautiful valance is French and dates c 1860-1870. A wonderful antique textile ! ~*~ Stunning wool trim ~ This valance is made using a medium weightBEAUTIFULLYprinted cotton with a wonderful aged patina. The trim is gorgeous! The ground tone is a warm natural, aged white tone and the other colors include : brown sienna, charcoal, and neutrals, all gently faded with time. This curtain is not backed. This textile would be gorgeous used as a curtain or lovelydeconstructed and used for many projects such as upholstery, pillows, curtains etc. It could use a wash, please see condition in photos and below! ( 638 )Measurements:This textile measures 85.5 inches wide by approx. 20 inches drop. ~*~CONDITION : This textile is in as found, not washed condition with light storage dust. There are large pale brown stains on parts of this piece and pale pink bleeds from dye on this piece that may not wash fully. I recommend dry cleaning because of the wool pom poms. There are some missing bobbles.
