Here is a nice specimen of rhomboidal Rhodochrosite xtls from the Burlington mine, near Butte, MT. This locality is one of the earlier silver/manganese ore deposits worked in the Butte area, starting around 1900, might have been discovered even slightly before, during the last years of the 1800\'s. This specimen is not perfect, with some minor contacts here and there, but a rich covering of medium pink crystals. The bottom of the matrix has been sawed, in order to improve the display face. Nice example for this uncommon locality. This specimen is 1 5/8 oz in weight, or 45 grams. The size is 1.5 inch x 1.5 inch x 0.7 inch in size. Please be advised, I ship with Ground Advantage.
