We are offering for sale a rare and very beautiful, 1850’s \"Gutta Percha” / DUAL Ninth Plate / Thermoplastic Tintype / Photograph Hard Case features A GAME OF CHESS front and GEOMETRIC rear side. This beautiful LITTLEFIELD PARSON Case measures approx. 2 5/8\" x 3\" (outer measurements) and the interior opening accommodates two 1/9 Plate size Images.

The molded design on the front and rear of the are different. The front side is \"A GAME OF CHESS\" designated by 1-162. The rear side features a \"GEOMETRIC\" design designated 3-290.
The Case contains a (2) ambrotypes featuring BEAUTIFUL TWIN SISTERS with matching dresses and tinted cheeks.
This rare and original, 1850\'s Littlefield Parson Case is in very good condition. The molded images on both sides are crisp and sharp with light wear. The surfaces retain their original surface shine with some dust present; Case could use a detailed cleaning. No damage noted.
