Offered is an original T.J. Hileman framed photograph of Lake McDonaldin Glacier National Park. T.J. Hileman (1882-1945) moved to Kalispell, MT in1911, opening his own portrait studio, after graduating from Effingham Schoolof Photography in Chicago, IL. There he met Alice Georgeson and in 1913, theywere the first couple to have been married in Glacier National Park. In 1924,Hileman became the official photographer for the Great Northern Railway. He isvery well known for his scenic photographs of the park as well as for hisportraits of the Blackfoot Indians of the area.This image shows the snowcovered mountains reflecting in the lake. The actual image is 4” x 9 ½”.Overall 8 ½” x 14 ½”. The image remains clean. The paper mat under it is a bitwavy. Ornate period frame is clean and tight. See scans.
