ColonelEdward M. House. (1858-1938). American diplomat. Colonel House was active inthe presidential campaign of Woodrow Wilson. He later became his adviser from1912 to 1919. House was a member of the American delegation to the Paris PeaceConference of 1919. He worked closely with Wilson in drafting the covenant ofthe League of Nations. His friendship with Wilson ended in 1919 because ofconflict on the conduct of the negotiations. 5x3 card signed in brown fountainpen, adding “1939.” In very good condition with light age toning.
