Description: CIRCA 1820’sA large early gossamer lawn handkerchief with beautiful whitework embroidery and very fine hand made bobbin lace edging and extremely fine Drawnwork around the handkerchief. Measuring approx. 21\". There is a light scripted name above one of the corners , a common touch on earlier handkerchiefs. In strong very good condition, a few tiny openings.I consider minor on such a early handkerchief. They are not usually in this good strong condition. A wonderful item for the early handkerchief collector.
