This technique originated around the 1800\'s.
This lovely piece was given to my mother about 50 years ago with a note from my grandmother stating the piece was approx. 90 years old. It was created by my mother\'s aunt. My mother was born in 1927 and this was given to her between the 60\'s and 70\'s. The note attached was written by my grandmother at the time the piece was gifted to her. The intricate work on this must have taken a lot of time to complete. The stitching is fabulous and and so detailed. I hope whomever purchases this piece will cherish it as my family has for years. Suggestion: I think it would look lovely framed.
