General - American 1850s Era D.L. ORMSBY Soda Water. Hand blown with a hand applied blob finish and Iron Pontil Base. BIMAL

Condition Report -Bottle is in good overall condition,no cracks. Some light inside haze is noted, outside of glass is clean and shiny. Blob lip is in very good condition, no issues. It is noted there are scratches, scrapes, pitting, fish eye bruises and abrasions on the glass due to age, manufacture and circulation use. The base has a moderate kick up with a grayish pontil rod residue remaining. Embossing is a good strike, legible, with some moderate high point wear on the letters noted. The base has heavy shelf wear. Some entrapped bubbles are noted in the glass.

Embossing - Wrap around bottle embossing \"D.L. ORMSBY\".

Glassworks - Unknown.

Color - Cobalt Blue.

Size - 7-1/8\" Tall and 2-5/8\" at the base.

Circa - 1854.

Age -Approx. 170 years old. Dorman L. Ormsby was in the Soda Water and Brewing Business from 1838-1860 in Manhattan New York City, 255 West 16th St.
