Prince Joachim Muratís inkwell with clock

Napolťon gave this elaborate inkwell in the shape of a ship with Poseidon standing in the center to his brother-in-law Joachim Murat when he appointed him Prince and Grand Admiral of the Empire. One of the great cavalry officers of the 19th century, Murat would ultimately be named King of Naples after Joseph became King of Spain.
