you are admiring an outstanding example of a wall united sheep lined a-2 jacket. the horse hide shell is in dense, supple condition, only showing minimal surface wear. the liner is in way above average condition, as are the snaps and original conmar zipper. the left upper sleeve shoulder has the remains of an aaf decal, and interestingly, the top back has a painted stenciled aaf meatball, in blue. I have only seen this type of application one other time on an original wwll a-2. the knit elements have been professionally replaced with the proper weight, color, and weave wool knits. the jacket is tagged a size 42, however, please read the measurements as submitted. laid flat, pit to pit: 22 1/4\". front length: 22 3/8\". sleeve length as measured from the shoulder seam to end of cuff: 24 3/4\". shoulder seam to shoulder seam at the top back: 19\". back length as measured from the collar seam to the bottom of the waistband: 25 1/2\". I offer these measurements because it is actually in occasional wearable condition.
