Attention all Marines and Marine Corps patch enthusiasts! This is a FINE example of a unit logo patch for 3d Engineer Battalion of Third Marine Division. These can't be found just anywhere! Not, of course, allowed on the uniform, but worn on all manner of off-duty civilian caps and clothing as novelty items.

Third Engineer Battalion has a distinguished list of campaigns in their history including Viet Nam where they served officially from July 1965 to October 1969. As indicated on the patch, they support 3d Marine Division. The patch is, of course, a variation of the division's WWII shoulder patch with the addition of an engineer's castle.

Recent Decades: Downsized in the late nineties, the unit became 3rd Combat Engineer Company as part of Combat Assault Battalion in Okinawa. But in 2007, the process of reactivation to full battalion strength began at Twentynine Palms, CA. Sub-units of 3rd CEB deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan in the Global War on Terror! Their future home base is slated for Guam, once construction there is complete.

This is a BRAND NEW and UNUSED patch. It is NOT a war relic but a recent manufacture item! Embroidered on red twill with cut (non-merrowed) edge and plastic heat-sealed backing. Colors are clean and bright. See ruler in photo for size comparison.

Packaging & Reliability:

My flat-fee shipping structure covers cost of packaging and postage, and is a best-guess estimate for size and weight of items. It's not an exact science. (The flat fee is still significantly less than my actual cost for postage.) Items ship in zip-closure poly bags to protect from moisture. Items ship as trackable USPS Ground Advantage parcels within the US.

In my experience, the track record of US Postal Service delivery within the US is practically 100% reliable. I may at my discretion choose insurance for shipments of a certain value. But the best insurance you can have is to make sure you provide a current and correct postal delivery address, and to check your mailbox regularly.

"No Returns Accepted" is my designated policy, unless an item has a defect or was misrepresented.
