RARE Crimean War Original Art, “Our Brave Defenders”, Drawn / Printed On Linen.:

This is an incredibly unique piece of historical art, likely designed as propaganda to boost public support for Britain’s involvement in the 1850’s Crimean War.

“Our Brave Defenders” shows 18 wartime leaders as they would have looked at that time. It is difficult to read all the names due to fading, but they include: Jacques de St. Arnaud, Admiral James Plumridge, The Duke of Cambridge, Admiral Richard Dumdas, Edmund Lions, and more. Appears to be drawn or printed on linen, which is then hand stitched onto a soft cotton backing.

There are obvious condition issues and conservation will be needed.
