RARE 1/16 PLATE DAGUERREOTYPE - GENT WITH KILLER HAIR - IN A CASE ORIGINAL HINGE- Thegentleman in this sixteenth plate daguerreotype had a cool and strong appearance. I especially like his devilish styled hair. The 1850\'s plate rests in a mint condition case with the original hinge and clasp still miraculously intact. Warm toned hand tinting was applied to his face. A super sixteenth plate for any collection of 19th Century photography. Good luck to my fellow collectors of images on silver plates.

CONDITION:Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition of the image and as part of my description. The sixteenth plate has been resealed with a new sheet of cover glass. The image has some natural patina and a few scattered specs of dust, which are expected for an item a 160 years old. The case includes the a wonderful red velvet pillow, the single working clasp and the original hinge. I will ship this item to the winning buyer carefully packaged by Priority Mail.
