She was built by Ateliers & Chantiers de la Gironde, France for the Messageries Maritimes, French flag. She was a 12,692 GT ship with dimensions: 510\'x61\'. Twin-screw, 14 knots, triple expansion engines, two masts and two funnels.
Launched Jan. 25, 1914. Service: Marseilles-Far East via Suez Canal. Passengers: 320.
Damaged and capsized at Casalblanca. Nov 8, 1942, during the Allied landings. Raised and broken up for scrap in 1945.
