Built by Ateliers & Chantiers de la Gironde, France for the Messageries Maritimes Line, French flag as a 12,692 GT ship with dimensions of 510\'x61\'. Twin-screw, 14 knots, triple expansion engines, two masts and two funnels. Launched January 25, 1914. Her service routes: Marseilles-Far East via Suz Canal. She had passenger accommodations for 320. Damaged and capsized at Casablanca, November 8, 1942. Raised, beached and broken up for scrap in 1945. Sister ship to the ATHOS.
