Beautiful Small Santa Clara Polychrome Redware Pottery. Vintage. Circa: 1960's -1970'sSigned: Marie, Santa Clara Artist: Marie Askan Measures: 3.25 x 4.5 Approximately Condition: Very Good. No chips, cracks or repairs. Minor imperfections and blemishes typical of handmade pottery. Please enlarge photos as they are a large part of the description. This pottery bowl is handmade by traditional methods of the Santa Clara Pueblo Native Americans. Hand coiled, Hand polished and painted and fired. The background is a red hand polished finish with a off white outline and tan/peach slip colors surrounding the Avanyu (Water Serpent) design. This pot is well shaped and symmetrical. A small gem to add to your collection.
