Late Victorian 1897 Pewter Quart Tankard Mug Hallmarks Engraved
There are several identifying marks on this tankard. There\'s one with \"VR\"under a crown. Under the VR is 149.Another mark is to certify that it is indeed of a quart capacitywith is VR over 32. Above this mark is stamped \"Quart\"There is are illegible engravings of a name opposite the handle and in large letters engraved \"QUART\". On the bottom of the piece on the inside is another mark...3 swords or 3 crosses inside and oval with yet more illegible engraving. There are two bands of rings that encircle the tankard. There is also an illegible engraving of a name on the bottom. This tankard is footed with an angular handle. There are no breaks or repairs and only minor dents which is to be expected of a tankard of this age. Please see photos. It is 6.5\"H x 4.75 in diameter.
