Antique Victorian Late 1800s to Early 1900s Celluloid Photo Album - 10.5 x 8.5".The celluloid albums were primarily made between 1892 and 1915. This one features a hard cardboard cover with deer, a meadow, and a raised wood look. It has a beautiful purple floral print velvet fabric on the binding and the back. The clasp is spring-loaded to open and close. The inside has fifteen pages (front & back) of card-stock frames. There are no photos included with this album.
The top cover has minor wear and the lower left corner has a very tiny spot with minimal tattering. The velvet is in great condition free of any holes, tears, or fraying. It does have some wear on the binding and the back cover on the left and right sides. The pages inside are discolored due to age and use. There are only a couple of pages with very small tears on the paper that cover the cardboard frames and one spot where the flower design was colored blue as shown in the photos. The binding is still perfectly intact. The spring-loaded clasp still works great!
