but twist action of the ballpoint pen seems to be BROKEN!

I bought this pen at the Los Angeles Pen Show a number of years ago and I don’t know much about it.I did own, at the time, a number of high-end Jean Pierre Lepine pens so I decided just to buy it on a whim because I thought it was beautiful, unique and as a handcrafted item – Original!

Pen Highlights:

The ballpoint pen measures 6”. The natural finish and sheen of Briarwood is amazing!Briarwood is typically used to make tobacco pipes. It originates from a shrub-like tree known as Erica Arborea and is actually part of the root structure.Briarwood is technically not a tree at all, but a shrub. The plant is native to the Mediterranean Basin, Portugal, The Canary and Madeira Islands.

I do not have any box or packaging for this ballpoint pen (the pen collector I purchased it from did not have it). The twist action that would extend the pen tip seems to be broken. It feels like it is too \"tight\", it turns but it does not extend the point mechanism. You may beable to repair this yourself or it might need to be sent out for repair.

The ballpoint pen cap ring is engraved “Jean Pierre Lepine Paris France”.The Briarwood on the pen is in EXCELLENT Condition showing no gouges or scratches, only natural wood variation.The Gold Trim shows only minor surface scratches due to handling, storage and age.
