Up for sale is a Jean Pierre Lepine inkwell. It has a glass bottom and a green and red resin screw-on top. It is made in France and has the number \"24\" embossed on the bottom of the inkwell in addition to what looks like \"SGD\" or \"S6D\" (I can\'t quite read it, but assume that is a part or stock number?).

I have never used this inkwell and purchased it from a fountain pen collector at a pen show, he told me it is somewhat rare.Designer Jean-Pierre Lepine is from the fifth generation of manufacturers of luxury writing instruments with his workshop in the French Upper Jura, a region close to Switzerland where tradition, quality and innovation are intertwined. Lepine takes great pride in the design and craftsmanship of his fine writing instruments and accessories, using only high-quality materials for his creations.

NOTE: The writing appears bowed or you get strange writing reflections on the inkwell, this is only an optical illusion caught by my iPhone and is NOT present on the actual inkwell.
