Nice Italian / Sardinian Model 1860 cavalry trooper sword made by Schnitzler and Kirschbaum (S&K) of Solingen. With original scabbard. The S&K made versions of this sword are generally considered the best-made examples and this sword handles beautifully for such a large sabre. Large 35.5" blade is in very nice unsharpened condition with uniform patina. Original scabbard in very nice condition as well. Guard is solid with no movement. Most of grip leather intact but there are some minor spots of wear. Sword weighs 2 lbs 5 oounces.
