Here we have a wonderful vintage cast iron DEEP SQUARE FRY SKILLET(part number 768) with front tip grip/hanging hole - made by GRISWOLD of Erie, PA.
It measures approx. 9-1/2\" top square (add 4-3/4\" for the handle, 3/4\" for the grip) x 8-1/2\" base square x 2-1/8\" side high.
It in good maintained (used) shape with no chips or cracks, although it has not been cleaned since acquired and is being offered in \"as found\" condition. Currently it shows cook/heat marks pretty much all over (mostly cook build-up matter on the exterior bottom.) A clean and re-season, then good to go. Once cleaned, you will be able to see the center small block logo, part number \"768\" and more. Also, the interior surface will be smooth to the touch. NOTE: great pan for making cornbread.
This cast iron Square Skillet heats evenly, retains the heat, and with consistent care it will last a lifetime. Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown, circa 1960\'s. This item weighs approx. 5 lbs., add 3 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased.
