I am now individually listing a number of “new, old stock” (NOS) items fromGreist Products, New Haven Connecticut. All items are in terrific condition! Greist Manufacturing Co. of New Haven,Conn., a manufacturer that made sewing machine attachments and Singer sewingmachines and equipment for the U.S. Navy during World War II.

For sale is Automatic Buttonholer– Style #1 (yes, this is another \"#!\").

Greist Manufacturing Company was founded by John M. Greist,an inventor who was employed by Singer to design sewing machineattachments. Greist is the inventorbehind the iconic \"Puzzle Box\" attachments kit for Singer treadlemachines. The patent was filed in 1889by Greist but assigned to Singer. GreistManufacturing Company went on to produce sewing machine attachments for manydifferent sewing machine makers, including Morse and White. Greist alsomanufactured attachments for Singer.Singer clearly outsourced buttonholers to Greist in the late 1950\'s andearly 1960\'s.
