This is a heavy plate with some very nice, rare, cretaceous age fossil leaves from Kansas. They are rare because they come from Kansas, which has very few fossil leaves. And, yes, you read correctly: the price for this fossil is $5. You have to pay the shipping and handling, which I will set at $18, taken from priority mail rates for a medium size box ($18.40 in fact). It’s a heavy plate. But you pay for the shipping, and the specimen itself is $5. Why? Because I’m trying to clear out a lifetime of collecting so my daughter doesn’t get left with what I call a ‘dead dad collection’, wherein someone’s forced to figure out how to get rid of, in my case, lots of rocks. So help me out here and buy this heavy specimen that looks very nice, but isn’t one of the ones that I, in good conscience, could charge market rates for. It’s a very nice piece, but for shipping cost and $5, and put them together for $23 total.
