Extra Large Dublin
The \"800\" series from Dunhill consisted of extra-large pieces that have become highly sought-after and collectible since their introduction in the 1950s. Because of their massive size, they were often stamped \"ODA\" as well, as is the case with this \"848\" Dublin. It\'s rare to find an \"ODA\" outside of the Shell Briar sandblast, making this Bruyere number all the more attractive, especially when combined with the \"800\" stamp.
This piece has been well loved and smoked over the years, as evidenced by the rim darkening and chamber carbonizing, along with some dents in the rim, from knocking out ash no doubt. Though it comes with some marks of age and use it is a special piece of Dunhill\'s oversized line and comes in the original oversized box with all the literature from 1974. Definitely a great piece to have in the collection. Heck, if you just wanted it as a smoker you could sell the box and recoup half your investment on this one!
