RareVintage 1931 Wedgwood Denison University CommemorativePlate - Centennial Edition - made in England.This transferware platemeasuresapproximately 10 1/2" inches across, and has an ivory backgroundwith mulberry images. The plate hasa decorative border with a centralimagefeaturing The South Plaza on the Denison University campus.The back ofthis plate carries themanufacturer'smark: "South Plaza --Denison University Centennial-- 1831 - 1931 -- Wedgwood - Etruria, England -- Sole Importers - Jones, McDuffee & Stratton, Boston". The Wedgwood impressions/ incisions are also present.

Thisplate was part of a large Wedgwood collection that was carefully stored away for many years, and it is inextremely goodcondition - there are no chips, cracks, stains, repairs ormarks anywhere on this item. Some extremely minor, light crazing is present in the clear glaze, which is typical of antique china - but it is barely visible.Any reflection, distortion or shadowin the photos is the result of camera and lighting issues.Please view pictures for additional information regarding condition and design, and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have - I will gladly provide additional information or additional photos upon request.
