RareVintage 1956 Wedgwood Denison University CommemorativePlate - 125th Anniversary Edition - made in England.This transferware platemeasuresapproximately 10 3/8\" inches across, and has an ivory backgroundwith salmon/plum color images. The plate hasa decorative border with a centralimagefeaturing The President\'s House on the Denison University campus.The back ofthis plate carries themanufacturer\'smark: \"The President\'s House -- 1831 - Denison University - 1956 -- One Hundred Twenty Fifth Anniversary -- Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston, Made in England -- Engraved By The Wedgwood Studios\". The Wedgwood impressions/incisions are also present.
Thisplate was part of a large Wedgwood collection that was carefully stored away for many years, and it is in excellent condition - no crazing, chips, cracks, repairs, stains ormarks anywhere on this item.Any reflection, distortion or shadowin the photos is the result of camera and lighting issues.
