The invasion has receivedwidespread international condemnation. TheUnited Nations General Assemblypassedaresolutioncondemning the invasion and demanding a full withdrawal of russian forces.TheInternational Court of Justiceordered russia to suspend military operations and theCouncil of Europeexpelled russia. Many countriesimposed sanctionson russia, which haveaffected the economiesof Russia and the world,and providedhumanitarian and military aid to Ukraine.Protests occurredaround the world;those in russiawere met with mass arrests and increasedmedia censorship,including a ban on the words \"war\" and \"invasion\".TheInternational Criminal Courthas openedan investigationintocrimes against humanityin Ukraine since 2013, as well aswar crimes in the 2022 invasion.
