Ca 1700 to 1740 Spiral Courting Candlestick Walnut Base Lighting:

Here you will see a great old courting candlestick in its original condition out of an sale in New Hampshire.

At the top there is a flattened hook for carrying or hanging.

The spiral is seated in the base of the wood and It measures approximately 8 3/4” high by 3 1/2” in diameter at the base. 

Has an old candle  inside but no traveller that enables adjustment height of the candle.

The walnut wood base has old tiny worm hole and some pieces missing that doe not affect the stability or cause any movement to the candlestick lighting. It is solid, thick and stable.
