Find: 2021 May 12

Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CK5)

History: Found in Algeria on May 12, 2021 by a team of hunters represented by David Lehman.

Petrography: (A. Irving,UWSand J. Boesenberg,BrownU) Sparse equilibrated, magnetite-bearing chondrules are present within a relatively coarse-grained matrix containing Cr-magnetite, pentlandite, intermediate plagioclase and ilmenite. No CAI were observed.

Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa33.7±0.3, range Fa33.4-34.4, N = 7), augite (Fs9.3±0.6Wo47.5±0.2, range Fs8.8-10.5Wo47.1-47.7, N = 5), magnetite (Cr2O34.6-5.2 wt.%, N = 7). Magnetic susceptibility log χ (× 10-9m3/kg) = 4.80.

Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CK5).

Specimens: 24.7 g including one polished thin section atUWB; remainder with Mr. D. Lehman.
