In 1982 many citizens didn’t even know where Beirut, Lebanon was on the world map. Or its strategic importance to the United States. International forces (British, French, Italian, along with the United States were tasked with maintaining a working relationship amongst nations to establish an environment which would permit Lebanese forces to carry out their responsibilities in their country from 1982-1984. Unfortunately, the mission took a deadly turn in 1983. This sticker is a tribute to those forces, and to all the gold star families.
