International forces (British, French, Italian, along with the United States were tasked with maintaining a working relationship amongst nations to establish an environment which would permit Lebanese forces to carry out their responsibilities in their country from 1982-1984. Unfortunately, the mission took a deadly turn in 1983. This patch is a tribute to those forces, and to all the gold star families.
