David Davis [1815 1886]was a jurist and politicianfrom Illinois who was nominated by PresidentAbraham Lincoln as anAssociate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Statesand served from 1962 untilhis death in 1977. Davis was also a close friend of Lincoln and served as his campaign manager at the 1860 RepublicanNational Convention where he successfully engineered Lincoln\'s nomination for President. Listed for sale is the autograph of David Davis signed on a card. The autograph is signed \'\'David Davis Asso. Jus S C W S Washington 1876\'\' in black fountain pen. The cardmeasures 3.50 x 2.00 inches and is in fine condition. The autograph is authentic, rare to obtainand isa desirable exampleof this noted jurist and is ideal for display.
