Item Description

Here is a nice antique engraving rendering of President George Washington and his family at their home for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep for yourself!

Offered here is a nice antique engraving of our 1st President, George Washington and his Family. The rendering is very well done. The piece was published by John Dainty of Philadelphia, PA. The piece was engraved by A B Walter after a painting by F Schell. The piece was originally done around circa 1860.

This Antique Washington Family Engraving is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a high end sale house or gallery. We have been selling items out of our home for over 35 years. We can therefore better control our acquisition costs, keep commission costs low (if applicable), and finally, we don\'t have the overhead that the high end sale houses and galleries experience.

This piece has some age to it, but we cannot say with certainty if this is an original engraving or not. You need to be the final judge before acquiring.

One of the better examples of this engraving we have come across in our over 35 years of collecting and dealing. Quite fascinating and interesting piece here!

Says \"Washington Family\" below the image of him and family. The engraving has not been examined out of the frame. A couple of imperfections to the engraving. One mark up near the upper right corner. A small watermark in the lower right corner. The piece has not been examined out of the matting and shrink wrap that we found it in. No tears or repairs to the engraving that we can ascertain.

We take great pride in is our wrapping to ensure that yourorder is safely shipped to you. Youmight find our shipping costs higher than other sellers, but it is due to theextra time, packing care, and materials we utilize. Of over 900 packages shipped last year, wehad only two items with issues, a 99.8% damage free delivery rate. Keep in mind, we are not shipping soft goods, like shirts orpants. We are shipping vintage/antique items that are fragile and requirespecial care.

We also obtain insurance on any item that was bought for $50or more, and require signature on delivery for items that are valued at over$200. Plus we have to pay the 11.75% ofthe final value and shipping fees that and PayPal charges.

Returns are accepted by seller within 30 days of receipt of item where an item is not as described. The Buyer will be assessed a 10% restocking fee should they decide to return this item for whatever the reason.
Please note that a restocking fee is charged toto cover costs related to the loss of listing time and other potential sales, plus the amount of care and time that goes into preparing our unique and fragile items for shipping.
