It was made by \"Sächsische Glasfabrik\" - the Saxonian Glass company, an important glass manufacturer in Germany that operated in late 1800s - early 1900s. There is a crown impressed on the bottom - the factory\'s mark that was in use from 1897.
The lid is made of presses metal with pewter a medallion showing the city view of Scheveningen - a town in Netherlands that was a popular sea resort. The use of pressed metal lid indicates the time of manufacturing of late 1910s - during the war times the price of pewter always raised dramatically
The stein is in excellent condition -there are some impurities and bubbles in the glass - they were part of the manufacturing process, but no damage whatsoever, no chips, cracks or repairs.
