ARGENTINE JORFRA BRAND BOWIE SURVIVAL SAWBACK KNIFEUSED BY AN ARMY PERSONNEL CIRCA '80SSturdy bowie survival sawback knife with honest use, good+ conditions, the handguard rattles a bit, scabbard was OD7 green dyed, so it is very probable that it belonged and was used by a military personnel.JorFra was founded by Mr. Jorge Francisco Tunno in 1981. In 1989 he acquired the building it currently occupies at 2442/44 Las Palmas Street, in the neighborhood of Pompeya, in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Today it has 41 years dedicated to the manufacture and commercialization of bladed weapons for the Argentine military and security forces, as well as for other forces of foreign countries: sabers, swords, couteaux, short swords, commando and survival knives, daggers, military and security equipment.Bowie re-blued blade, sharpened with some grinding marks, five double-teeth sawback, full tang, blank, no manufacturer's marks, itis very probable that they were erased when polished for blueing.Thick bronze handguard, hardwood handles with three large bronze rivets, the last one in the pommel is hollow to be used as a lanyatd hole.One piece black leather scabbard green dyed, used as the knife, stitched, with a belt loop and a riveted hilt strap with snap fastener.
