ARGENTINE COMMANDO BRAND KNIFE FM (FABRICACIONES MILITARES) ZAPLA BLAST FURNACES\' \'90S BUSINESS GIFTMINT IN THE ORIGINAL BOXThe \"Comando\" brand knives were manufactured from the 70s until the end of the 90s.Despite the name \"Commando\", it was never a regulation or military knife, the name \"Commando\" was used mostly to attract customers, because the design of this knife is far from being a true tactical knife, being more of a model for boy scouts.This knife is in mint conditions, circa \'90s, it is presented in a box lined in glossy black paper marked \"LEGITIMO CUCHILLO COMANDO\" in silver letters.Spear point blade made of German 420 stainless steel with half tang.The hilt is made of metal alloy with antimony, includes a small quilion, which ends in a ball and makes the handguard, finish is matte black paint.The handles are made of black plastic.The handles are held in place by two chrome plated screws.It has the following markings:- On the left side of the blade the word \"COMANDO\" and on the right ricazzo \"ALTOS HORNOS ZAPLA\" (Zapla Blast Furnaces).- on the righ ricazzo the FM (Fabricaciones Militares = Military Industries) logo.The one piece black leather scabbard is sewed, it has a belt loop with a loose strap to secure the pommel and has a riveted crossed strap with a snap fastener to secure the handguard quillion, scabbard is marked \"COMANDO INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA\" (Made in Argentina) and has the FM (Fabricaciones Militares = Military Industries) logo.To supply argentine produced steel to the national industries, Zapla Blast Furnaces was founded and controled since OCT 11 1945 by argentine government owned company Fabricaciones Militares (Military Industries), until it was privatized in 1999. In last three photos a conmemorative silver medal (not included) and two historics photos can be seen.
