• A seated \"Pinocchio\" hand-painted on original animation production cel. The picture was shown on Walt Disney Presents television, 1958-1961. The cel appears as the Disney camera would begin to enlarge the image of the white paper Pinocchio is holding as a transition into a TV commercial or the next television segment to be shown. Reasonable offers will be considered.


• We\'ve all seen these TV transition scenes as they were often reshown during different broadcasts of Walt Disney Presents. Though an integral part of the TV show, actual production cels from these transitions are rarely found in any form. Here, the unrelated wording about a Loan Agreement was added on top of the cel long after it was broadcast on television.


• This production cel comes in a 9x12 inch Disney matte exposing 5½x8½ inches of the larger production cel. As with most cels, the original artwork was painted on the backside of the cel. The vertical paper tear at the left side shown in the scan is not part of the cel but rather is a tear in the paper backing used inside the matte.


• The Disney animator who took the cel home back then, gifted it to a relative twenty years later. We acquired it about 25 years ago as part of a small lot of Walt Disney Presents animation art the Disney artist had been giving his relative over a course of a 2 year period from 1981 to 1982.


• While the white paper that Pinocchio is holding was the focal point for this television transition, at the time of gifting the artist painted on top of this transition point the words: \"Loan Agreement, California Overseas Bank, 1460 Wilshire Blvd,\" apparently because his relative work there.


• In addition to modifying the cel with additional ink, the gifter wrote on the back of the original Disney matte: \"Dear Wayne 11-30-81 -- Pinocchi\'s Nose Might Grow \'Cuz He\'s causing Clients, Pain. The Boss is Yelling Like Mad, And Goes To Uncle Wayne. Wayne Knows Deep Inside He Must Take The Bosses Part; And All Works Out Well. \'Cuz Wayne Has The Biggest Heart. Love & Happiness, Bob & Danny\"


• This original Pinocchio transition cel can be retained framed in its original Disney matte, or removed from its old Disney matte to eliminate the note, then rematted and reframed. Removal of the \"California Overseas Bank\" writing on the front of the cel can be accomplished, but care must be taken not to damage the original animation painting on the other side.


• Free local pickup at a mutually agreeable time, or we ship by U.S. Postal Service with USPS Tracking by the close of the next postal business day from payment. Shipping costs include full insurance. We can often combine our other items purchased the same day into the same package with this item to save you on shipping.


• NOTICE: Since insurance covers only the goods but not the costs of shipping them, the buyer agrees that once we have proof of delivery of the package to the post office (which is usually the postal receipt we receive from the postal window clerk at the time of mailing), that if the package or its contents is lost in the mails and not delivered or is damaged in shipping that any refund is limited to the purchase price and any sales tax (if applicable) and does not include a refund of the shipping or insurance.
