This 8 1/2 x 11 staple bound reference, it has 53 pages, features a history of the Marines in Iceland.
Also, included are many new photos from Iceland, info on living conditions and quarters, uniform items, etc. and there an extensive section featuring the issue of the Polar Bear patch and its many variations.
The 14 different patches pictured are nearly all facing cut (and un-cut) sets of the Polar Bear patches encountered. Included are the official issue, souvenir, and the metal bear patches. Identified at Type 1 through 7 with additional photos of the souvenir patches, and other variations of the RARE metal polar bear patch.
