The Colorado and Southern Railway (C&S) was an American Class-1 railroad railroad in the western United States, serving portions of Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. Its subsidiary Fort Worth & Denver Railway connected with the C&S at the Texas state line and operated as far south as Dallas and Abilene. The C&S operated independently from 1898 to 1908, at which time the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad acquired majority control. The C&S was absorbed into the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1981; surviving trackage is now part of BNSF. For sale is an employee pass from the C&S for 1938-1939. It was issued to an employee of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad. The pass, which measures appx 4 x 2 1/2 nches, is printed on lightweight cardstock. It is in excellent condition, with no rips or tears; all writing/markings are from its issuance and use. A nice item for the C&S collector. Pictures sell!
