[ FEATURES AND DETAILS... ]

- Framed (Not a high-end framed, but adequate)

- All three original red seals are still in place

- The indenture starts with the dates: \"seventeenth day of May in the thirty-ninth year of our Sovereign Lady VICTORIA, by the Grace of God ... etc.\" (1876).

- The location is Normanton (Wakefield), in the County of York.

- Walter Rand is presenting his son, Thomas Rand, to be apprentice of Henry Holmes, the \"Boot and Shoe Maker.\"

- HEALTH CARE PLAN INCLUDED! Beyond the preprinted requirement for Holmes to provide \"sufficient and enough Meat,\" there are further stipulations penned in quill: \"... board lodging and all manner of necessary and becoming apparel and washing and also physic and surgery in case of sickness.\"

- It is personally signed by all three parties -- the two Rands and Henry Holmes -- and duly notarized and sealed in Wakefield.

- The indenture is stamped at the top \"1d. per Sheet.\" Below that, there is an embossed seal with a crown, and the words \"Two Shillings Sixpence.\" Below that, there is another inked stamp with the date (\"6-4-76\"), \"Wakefield,\" and the numeral \"23.\"

[ CONDITION... ]

- Beautiful antique condition for a document 140+ years old ... and these were typically folded up and stuffed in a pocket or wallet.

- The three red seals are still in place.

- There are the usual fold creases and some age loss to the paper in spots. It has obviously been taped on the front and back numerous times, and finally preserved in this picture frame.

The above is my good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind that vintage/antique items always show their age. (Don\'t we all!?) It would be impossible to mention every tiny detail, so please expect that there will be something about this item (or lot) that\'s not perfect and may need touch-up.
