Original circa 1870\'s-1880\'s tintype showing some lucky girl\'s collection of bisque head & china head dolls. We have tried to count the dolls in the photo a number of times & have come up with a count of 22 dolls. However, to be safe, we will say that there are approximately 22 dolls in the photo. The dolls shown are of various sizes. They are of types which were made in Germany & France during the late 1800\'s.
Matt measures 3 15/16 inches by 2 7/16 inches. Tintype measures 3 5/16 inches by 2 1/16 inches. Has some minor age flaws which are commonly found on most tintypes including some minor wear. There are some small rust spots on the back. Also, there are some thin line surface scuffs here & there on the image. This very interesting & highly unusual photo came from an old Pennsylvania collection of tintypes which was formed over several decades.Please examine the photos closely & purchase based on your own judgement as to condition & value.
