Congress began providing pensions for veterans of the Revolutionary War in 1778. In May 1828, that pension act was updated to extend benefits to all men who served, removing the requirement of being disabled or demonstrating financial need.Benjamin Price is requesting his pension. He has proved his service to the committee and they recommend $20 per year beginning March 4, 1831.
Price served as a private in the New Jersey 3rd regiment.
