This antique Briddell butcher knife meat cleaver is a vintage masterpiece made right here in the USA. With its combined 14 inches and its perfectly balanced 8-inch blade, the knife is perfect for all your chopping needs. The knife features a solid full tang blade with high carbon-steel construction. The ridged strong, blonde hickory side scales work well with the dark black finish on that large bold blade.

The knife is handmade over 100 years ago. When I found the blade, it was missing one side scale, and the other was cracked and loose on the tang. I refurbished the tang with a new handle made from a hickory handled axe. I ordered the proper brass rivet-pins and beat them together after I apoxyed the scales onto the tang. So now this functioning collectible is perfect for anyone who needs that extra power on the butches block. This knife has a hanging hole for easy storage. The balanced weight and ease of sharpening make this knife a must-have in the gally/kitchen.
