p1908British black canvas haversack small pack 12in w x 9in h X 2ind each E8532 A good original vintageWW1 British army 1908 pattern haversack. The pack is in good order, it has some minor dirt spots and stains but all in good order, this has been dyed black long ago, the colorlooks a green/black as has faded with age, black webbing was used by the Royal Navy, Tank Corps etc. The front closure straps are excellent. The rear is in good order and complete with original straps and buckles to base and sides. The inside is good with minor dirt and dust and complete with internal divide. We can see no makers marks or dates. A good useable pack.
