For sale is an exceedingly scarce publication of the then-nascent (started in 1880 during the Revolution) General Court or Assembly of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts-passed "Acts and Laws," which were approved in Boston on 29 May 1782. These were passed before the Revolutionary War was officially over, with one law, the "Addition to an Act entitled "An Act in Addition to an Act entitled "An Act for preventing all Commerce and Illegal Correspondence with the Enemies of the United States of America," allowing for "all Goods and Merchandize" from Great Britain to be siezed and condemned, and forfeited, "one Moeity thereof to the Use of the Commonwealth, and the other Moiety to the use of the Captor or Siezor... ". There are laws on mundane subjects such as creating a lottery to raise funds for the repair of a bridge over the River Parker, an "Act directing and regulating the Process of Outlawry,' an "Act to create and erect a Corporation by the name of the Trustees of Dummer Academy in the County of Essex" (now known as the Governor's Academy, the oldest continuously operating boarding school in the US) and many other interesting acts. Rare... can only find reference to extant copies of this in a few institutional collections. According to rarebookhub sale records, this was last saleed... before 1892.
