Offered for your consideration is a pair of Pentel Icy repeater pencils , the AL25 in 0.5mm and AL27 in 0.7mm, USA-made c.1998. The pencil model numbers are actually AL25T and AL27T in their period catalogs, the T for translucent. This is the first version of the Pentel Icy pencil, before they became odd-looking.

So, please see my large photos and read the remaining description to decide if these terrific Pentel pencils should be yours.

These two Pentel pencils are in clean, very good condition. They measure 5⅜” long x 7/16” wide and are crafted from sturdy translucent plastic; black gray on the 25, blue gray on the 27. There are no cracks, chips, or real scratches, just some light signs of use from the years (such as the faded lettering on the 27). Plus, the chrome-plated steel clips are in nice shape and rest tight on the barrels with no gap. These neat pencils also feature an innovative comfort grip section. Overall, they’re both quite nicely importantly, both pencils are working correctly with lead being extended by depressing the eraser cover. Retraction, when required, is accomplished by holding the eraser cover down while gently pressing the lead upwards. Plus, I’ve flipped both erasers to their unused side for the photos. Lastly, I’m including two Pentel lead containers in 0.5mm and 0.7mm, as pictured, for the new owner’s pictured and described, this pair of early Pentel Icy pencils with bonus leads is offered at a competitive price.
