Vintage b&w photo of construction of ship being built at the Vickers Armstrong Shipyard in Barrow in Furness. Undated but around 1958-1959.
Official Vickers Photograph stamp to reverse.This may or may not be the SS Oriana, which was the last of the Orient Steam Navigation Company\'s ocean liners. Built at Vickers-Armstrong, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria and launched on Nov 3, 1959 by Princess Alexandra.
The photo came from a collection of other photos of the SS Oriana at the Vickers Armstrong shipyard.
Gloss finish, 10\" x 8\". Reasonable / good condition - see photos.
