A rare and heartfelt, \"c1917 Embossed Thanksgiving Postcard, with an Interesting Greeting and Bright 3-D Metallic Turkey.\"

The postcard depicts a strutting Tom Turkey. Below that is a Greeting wishing that the season may bring you a happy appreciation of all your blessings.

This wonderful \"Thanksgiving Seasonal Postcard\" measures approx. 5 1/2” by 3 1/2” (14 cm. x 9 cm.) and is formatted like a Picture Postcards of the time, with a divided back. It was made in the USA … the credits say \"Whitney Made, Worchester Mass\".

This heart-warming postcard is very typical of the time. It was not sent through the mail, even though it was addressed in a wonderful flourished script to Mr Thomas A. Nolf, Center Valley, PA. And it has a brief message wishing Mr. Nolf, \"Best Wishes for Happy Days. 11/29/17.\" it was not uncommon in those days to use a postcard as a greeting card.

Also, think back to the fact that American soldiers were at that time fighting a war in Europe. The mood in the USA was probably not very \"thankful.\"

The card is in excellent condition. Any wear is extremely minor. There is a tiny bit of soiling, but the the images are spectacular … clean, and crisp with beautiful color.
